Pulau Rawa or Rawa Island is only 16 kilometers from the mainland of Mersing, Johor. This island is synonymous with Rawa Safaris, a charming international standard resort and exclusive private hideaway.

Tunku Mohammed Archibald discovered Pulau Rawa as a perfect fishing haven and he built Rawa Island Resort in 1971 or also known as Rawa Island Resort. Rawa Island is an unspoilt coral island with its swaying palm trees.

Pulau Rawa is famous for its tall palm trees, white coral sand and off shore coral reef which is rich with marine life and neon-green colored fishes and other fantastic forms of sea life. But the island remains hidden due to the wooden chalets nestled among the coconut groves.

This little haven has excellent foods, great company and nature’s beauty. There is a restaurant called The De Rawa Restaurant that serves a wide variety of local favorites as well as Chinese and Western cuisines.

There are a lot of activities that you can do here such as snorkeling, scuba diving, hill trekking, fishing, skin-diving, scuba-diving, shell collection, lobster-hunting, underwater photography and even check out the caves. Snorkel and diving equipment, are provided at Rawa Safaris Island Resort to enable the visitors to come in close contact with the underwater life.

When you go for a snorkeling, you can see a lot of coral garden teeming with fish and marine life, from coral reef fish to Pelagic fish or you might even spotted a dolphin.Visitors must be aware that all sea creatures are cannot be taken because of the preservation and conservation of the marine life.

Things to do:
Soak up the sun in peaceful privacy. Explore fascinating caves and scuba-dive at offshore coral reefs to observe and photograph the exciting underwater world. Check out the rare white peacocks that wander around the resort.
