Homestay Ayer Limau is located 1 kilometer from Pekan Masjid Tanah and it only takes 2 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur. Once you have reach Kampung Ayer Limau, the villagers of Kampung Ayer Limau will welcome you with kompang and bunga manggar. Kompang is a traditional music instrument which will be played by the villagers of Kampung Ayer Limau.
If you have decided to join this homestay program, you will be staying with your foster family. They have three packages for minimum of 30 visitors which ranging from RM65 to RM250. But it also depends whether you have any other requests such as taking a bath in the spring or even want to milk the cow.
There are about 18 to 30 Malay families took part in this program which provide accommodation to around 100 visitors. The visitors can explore around the village, cycling, fishing with nets or fish pumping, and bathing in the spring. The package price is RM65 a minimum of 30 people, Ayer Limau offer homestay packages a day to visit around Homestay Kampung Ayer Limau, visits to the pond and fresh water fish breeding goats. Not only that, the host will provide food comprising of delicious local dishes and delicacies.
This package not only includes visits to small workshop to make mats and roof mengkuang Nipah, visiting gardens or vegetable musk lime, even small workshops have the opportunity to make traditional delicacies such as kuih denderam and kuih karas which are made from rice flour. You will also receive a souvenir from the homestay as a sign of memories.
