Pasembur is a very popular Penang hawker food usually taken as a side dish during lunch and dinner time. It contains shredded cucumber, Chinese turnip, potatoes, bean curd, bean sprout along with prawn fritters, flour-batter fritters and sliced boiled egg. The whole dish is then covered in a spicy peanut sauce.

By tradition, Pasembur vendors used modified side car motorcycles to sell their Pasembur. Nowadays, these mobile vendors now used modified mini trucks to put up Pasembur for sale.

The best Pasembur in Penang is located along Gurney Drive which is one of the popular and convenient eating places in Penang. This place mostly patronized by tourist and also by the locals for it offers variety of Penang hawker food including the famous Pasembur. The business hours at Gurney Drive normally starts at 6:00 pm till midnight.
