Teluk Intan Leaning Tower

Teluk Intan Leaning Tower is located of course in Teluk Intan or formerly known as Teluk Anson. It is right at the heart of the Teluk Intan town centre.

This tower is very similar to the Leaning Tower Of Pisa in Italy and standing at 25.5 meters tall, this tower has a leftward slant and all the ingredients to make it an architectural sight to behold.

It stands as an architectural oddity that continues to attract visitors to Teluk Intan. This tower was built by a Chinese contractor named Leong Choon Chong with a pagoda-style structure and it was originally used as a covered water tank to store portable water for immediate vicinity.

This building appears to be 8 different levels but actually it is only divided to 3 storeys. The clock tower’s caretaker will wind up the clock’s mechanism every Wednesday and the chimes can be heard as far as eight kilometers in radius.

Getting there :
To get to Teluk Intan from the North-South Expressway, exit at Bidor Interchange and proceed to the road leading to Teluk Intan. The Tower is easily accessible through Jalan Selat.
