Threshold Ambeng rice or food is traditional Javanese Malay community which is usually served during the feast, such as crowd, tahlil late and others. The uniqueness of this rice is that it served for 3-5 persons in a circular tray and eaten in crowds. However, the rice was not eaten at the place but the host will provide food wrapper that can be brought home and eaten with the family at home.

Serving Rice threshold can achieve by reading 21 types of relish, but this latest dish has been reduced between 4-8 only. Among the substances that are usually there to provide rice threshold period now is :

  • Chicken cooked soy sauce / spicy / fried / shady
  • Sambal goreng
  • Palm charm
  • fried yellow noodles
  • Dried fish
  • Fried tempe / tempeyek
  • Ulam cucumber

So far, Rice Threshold majority easily found in Johor and other states are still difficult to find, so unique rice is still more mysterious. When you come to Johor not forget to try Ambeng rice.
