Viovio Beach

Viovio Beach (Pantai Viovio) is one of the most picturesque and increasingly popular coastal destinations in the Riau Islands. It is located on Galang Island, the final large island connected by the iconic Barelang Bridge system. The beach has quickly become famous among locals and tourists for its incredibly clean, soft white sand and the calming, shallow turquoise waters, making it an excellent spot for safe swimming and family relaxation.

Accessing Viovio Beach requires a scenic drive across the Barelang Bridges, past Jembatan 5 or 6. While the journey is long, the reward is a beautiful, tranquil escape far from Batam City’s industrial hustle. The beach is most celebrated for its spectacular sunset views; visitors flock in the late afternoon to capture the colorful sky reflecting on the calm ocean surface.

The beach offers several unique, “Instagrammable” features that make it stand out. These include a long, iconic wooden pier that stretches out over the water, large swing sets located offshore, and popular photo props like “I Love Viovio” signage. Beyond photography, visitors can enjoy non-motorized water sports like canoeing and paddleboarding, or simply rent a beach mat and relax under the palm trees.

Viovio is well-maintained, with necessary amenities including food stalls selling local snacks and drinks, clean washrooms, and changing facilities. A small entrance fee is typically charged to help maintain the cleanliness and facilities, ensuring a pleasant experience for all guests seeking a peaceful tropical getaway.
