Seoul Station (Seoul-yeok) is the central and most vital transportation hub in South Korea, functioning as the nexus for the nation’s expansive rail network. Historically, the original structure, built in 1925 and once known as Gyeongseong Station, is a designated Historic Site No. 284. This beautifully restored building now operates as Culture Station Seoul 284, a dynamic cultural space hosting art exhibitions and events. The modern station complex itself is comprehensive, featuring extensive waiting areas, ticketing counters, numerous retail outlets like Lotte Outlets, dining options, and convenient baggage lockers, making it a dynamic center for transit, commerce, and culture.
