The Asean Night Bazaar in Hat Yai is a hugely popular, structured, two-story indoor market that offers a clean, well-organized, and vibrant evening experience. It is particularly favoured by travelers from neighboring countries for its diverse offerings and strong focus on Halal food.
The market is clearly divided by floors:
- Ground Floor: This level is a massive retail space dedicated to shopping. Stalls here are packed with affordable fashion, including new and second-hand clothing, shoes, bags, accessories, cosmetics, and souvenirs. Bargaining is generally accepted, and the atmosphere is lively with music and colorful displays.
- Upper Floor (Food Court): The second level is a dedicated food court, a major draw for its extensive selection of local Thai and international dishes, all of which are Halal-friendly (no pork or alcohol). Visitors can indulge in favorites like Tom Yum, fried seafood, shrimp donuts, and various sweet treats and drinks.
The Asean Night Bazaar is located close to the famous Greenway Night Market, making it easy for visitors to explore both spots in one evening. It operates from Tuesday to Sunday (closed on Mondays), typically starting in the late afternoon around 4:30 PM and staying open late.
