Hang Tuah Museum

Muzium Hang Tuah (Hang Tuah Museum) is a key feature of the Hang Tuah Centre complex, located in Kampung Duyong, Melaka, which is considered the birthplace of the legendary Malay warrior. The museum is dedicated to commemorating the life, history, and legacy of Laksamana Hang Tuah and his four warrior companions: Hang Jebat, Hang Kasturi, Hang Lekir, and Hang Lekiu.

The complex itself is built in traditional Malay architectural style, featuring a main museum building and five distinct houses representing each warrior. Inside, the museum utilizes modern exhibition techniques, including interactive displays and, notably, Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, making it one of Malaysia’s first to integrate AI to narrate historical accounts.

Exhibits delve into Hang Tuah’s childhood, his role in the 15th-century Malacca Sultanate, his mastery of silat, and even his global trading voyages. Visitors can also explore artifacts, weaponry like the keris, and dioramas depicting historical events, such as the famous conflict between Hang Tuah and Hang Jebat, sometimes using hologram technology. The museum offers an engaging and educational experience into a significant piece of Malaysian heritage.
