Taman Rekreasi & Mini Zoo Kemaman

Taman Rekreasi & Mini Zoo Kemaman (TRZK), located in Kemaman, Terengganu, is a sprawling 35 to 54-hectare attraction managed by the Kemaman Municipal Council. Since its opening in 2009, it has become the largest zoo in Malaysia’s East Coast, aiming to educate visitors about endangered flora and fauna.

The park is a multifaceted destination, combining a mini zoo—home to species like Malayan Tigers, elephants, orangutans, and various birds—with extensive recreational facilities. Visitors can explore themed gardens, including an Orchid Garden, Herb Garden, and a Local Fruits area.

Beyond the wildlife exhibits, TRZK offers family-friendly activities. These include a Water Theme Park, a ride on a Horse-Drawn Carriage, and an intriguing evening Fireflies/River Cruise tour along Sungai Yah. The park also features a Hanging Bridge and is equipped with amenities like a surau (prayer room) and ample parking. Operating hours generally run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily for the zoo and pool, with the popular Firefly Tour taking place in the evening. TRZK serves as an important conservation center while providing an interactive, educational outing for families.
