Kuantan Art Street

Kuantan Art Street, located on Jalan Taman in Kuantan, Pahang, has rapidly become a must-visit destination, transforming a once-gloomy back alley into a vibrant public gallery. This open-air exhibition features a collection of murals, often exceeding 30 captivating pieces, created by talented local Pahang artists.

The street art vividly showcases the state’s identity, cultural heritage, and local folk tales. Visitors are particularly impressed by the stunning 3D murals that ingeniously incorporate real-life objects like old electronics or furniture, creating highly immersive and Insta-worthy photo opportunities. One notable feature is a mural dedicated to the legendary Malaysian singer, Sudirman Arshad.

The area is celebrated for its cleanliness and is actively maintained, even winning an International Beautiful Buildings Green Apple Environment Award. It is designed as a pedestrian-friendly space, encouraging leisurely exploration. While the murals are viewable 24 hours a day, many visitors suggest coming in the early morning or late afternoon for cooler weather and better lighting for photography. The street also often features nearby artisan stalls and cafes.
