Cameron Highlands

Cameron Highlands is Malaysia’s premier hill station, renowned for its cool, refreshing climate—a welcome escape from the tropical heat. Located about 200 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur, this region sits at a high altitude, making it ideal for growing continental crops.

The most iconic feature is the sprawling, emerald-green tea plantations, such as the famous BOH Tea Plantation, where visitors can tour the fields, witness the tea-processing factory, and enjoy a fresh cup with breathtaking panoramic views.

Beyond tea, the highlands are a major agricultural hub for fresh strawberries and various vegetables and flowers, with numerous farms offering ‘pick-your-own’ experiences. Nature lovers are drawn to the mystical, moss-covered trees of the Mossy Forest and various jungle trekking trails.

Named after British surveyor William Cameron, the area retains a distinct colonial charm, visible in its Tudor-style architecture and quaint English teahouses. With key towns like Tanah Rata and Brinchang, Cameron Highlands offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, agricultural bounty, and cool, serene relaxation.
